20 Minute Treadmill Trot

After this weekend’s morale boosting 20 minute run on the treadmill, I decided to have another go this evening. 20 minutes, slow jog, no walk breaks.

I kept the speed at 6.5 kilometres per hour, which isn’t much faster than a brisk walk, but at this stage that was more than plenty for me. I covered just over 2 kilometres and by the time I was done, I was well and truly done in!

Fortunately, the treadmill is set up in the living room, behind the couch, so I didn’t have far to collapseย once I’d finished.

So, yes, I’ve definitely got a long way to go before I’m back on track, but it’s a start, and that’sย good enough for now.

How’s your training going? Please share your thoughts in the comments.

Good for you! Just focus on one day at a time…try not to look too far ahead ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks Sharon. I’ve got a couple of months before I have to start training for the 50K, so hardly even thinking about it at the moment… or trying not to at least. ๐Ÿ˜‰

20 minutes is better than 0 minutes, no matter what speed! ๐Ÿ™‚ Keep it up and before you know it you’ll be where you want to be!

Your training is going better than mine. I didn’t do any running in February at all, except for 1km as part of a training session with my trainer. Keep going slow and remember not to do too much too soon.

Thanks Fiona. It really is very slow, but I’m hoping to start getting some long walks in too, just to get out there again, but I’ll try to take it easy. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Hopefully some warmer weather will help get us back on track. ๐Ÿ™‚

Warmer weather? What’s that? I think winter showed up today along with spring. I walked to work in snow and home in lovely sunshine.
